My Review

I have always enjoyed reading books about WW2 be they fiction or non-fiction. This one seems to capture that dark and yet ebullient feeling of those times. Many young men married before they joined the war and many wives were left behind trying to make a living, even trying to raise a child alone. But Unexpected Detour has a lot more than that included in its story. It has intrigue, a little mystery, and a picture of what it was on the “homeside” of the line. Excellent read by Lynn Marie Jackson.
