FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIMES AND WHY...
Well, like, ok...this has to be a subject I am the absolute worst at.
To begin with, we don't go to the actual movies much anymore and I tend to fall asleep during the ones on Netflix or Amazon 😕
But...
Lady Sings the Blues because I loved the music. I loved Billie Holiday. I wanted to sing like and look like Diana Ross...still do.
The Bucket List It was a great movie and it helped me realize I needed my own list and I have one now. I'm trying to cross things off!
Star Wars movies I loved all of them and I've never missed one. I think I loved them because I suppose I wanted to live in that time.
The Wizard of Oz because I always wanted to be Judy Garland...still do.
Gone with the Wind because I wanted it to be me kissing Rhett...still do.
I'm sure you have a favorite. What is it?????
you have 2 of my all time favorites listed that i neglected to mention on my blog this morning: GWTW and WIZARD OF OZ. Two perfect movies from 1939 - one of the best years for movies ever!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite from 1939 has to be Mr Smith Goes to Washington. I love Jimmy Stewart in that movie. I'd love to be Jean Arthur kissing him. :-D
DeleteCome on, wouldn't kissing Jimmy Stewart be like kissing your brother:)
Deletesee what I mean? Twins. wait til next week Peggy.
DeleteI haven't thought about Rain Man in ages. It was a good film, though!
ReplyDeleteAre you watching the new Star Wars movies as they come out as well?
My post.
I am most certainly watching the new Star Wars movies!
DeleteYou're not alone - as a family of four, actually going to the movies isn't something we can swing very often. But I do love Rain Man! And The Empire Strikes Back was the first movie I ever saw at the theaters. It was a drive-in, but yeah. :)
ReplyDeleteMy list
Okay ... so I swear I already came her and commented, but it's not showing, so I guess I dreamed it.
ReplyDeleteRe: Jimmy Stewart (in a comment above), I have to admit I crushed on him hard as a kid when I watched his old movies. I thought he was a hottie.
I honestly hate GWTW. I know, I know, that is sacrilege, but I can't get past hating the heroine. I have to love and root for the star of a movie, and I just couldn't. Does it make it better if I say I love Billie Holiday?
And what's NOT to love about the Wizard of Oz? I read every single book in the series as a kid, loved the movie, and wanted to live in Oz. Sigh.
Thanks for coming nice lady. Thanks to everyone.
DeleteI love so many of the ones on your post. A funny... talking about sleeping during movies. I love it now, but the first two times I tried to watch Pirates of the Caribbean, I fell asleep (in my defense, the first time was a midnight showing after I had driven 6 hours). My post is here: http://jhthomas.blogspot.com/2019/02/wednesday-weekly-blogging-favorite.html
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong with the Star Wars movies - they're always entertaining!
ReplyDeleteWhen I select the movies I need to watch, I have nothing else to do with the exception of trust that the movies will touch base in my letter drop.watch free movies online without downloading
