MY REVIEW
Vampire stories are not really my thing, but the Soul Mate
Tree stories always seem to be heart-warming in their own way and this one was
no different. It’s a story of sorrow, longing, happiness, and a little
make-believe. As paranormal as this might seem, a storyline of feeling that someone
could be your perfect mate and yet finding they are exactly the person you
should not be with is not unrealistic. Maybe the fact that someone can live 100
years or more to find that special person is a little far-fetched but remember
this is the legend of the Soul Mate Tree. I thought this was a little different take on
the Soul Mate Tree stories which is possibly what made it so readable.
Kudos to
Maggie Mundy for an enjoyable read.

Vincent stared at the phone in his hand as if it was a magical object that had just granted him his wish. Could this really be happening after so long? Could he have finally found his soul mate? Adele didn’t even know who he was.
Tristan walked into the breakfast room and poured himself some coffee.
“So are you going to call her or are you just going to stare at that thing until it explodes?”
Tristan shook his head as he walked over. “I have known you for hundreds of years and find it hard to accept you still believe in this fairy tale about a woman you love. When I found you, that first night you were the worst for wear. Anything you would have imagined would have been delusions.”
Vincent didn’t want to listen to Tristan’s rationale right now. He wanted to believe in the impossible.
“You’re probably right. I’ll just fool myself that I’m contacting her because she is an excellent photographer, which she is by the way. I know it is unwise, but I have to meet her, even if it is to rid myself of the fairy tale and accept my lot in life.”
Tristan grinned at him. “You’re my dear friend, but you are also a vampire, and she is a witch who hunts us down. I would call it a little more than unwise.”
AUTHOR Bio and Links:
I live in Adelaide, Australia with my husband, two cats, two dogs and a snake. I have a motorbike that I would like to ride more than I do and I love walking at the beach and listening to the waves. I've always loved reading all forms of speculative fiction from high fantasy and paranormal to horror and decided the stories in my head needed to be written down. It was either that or start on medication. Unlike many I didn’t know I wanted to be a writer until a few years back. I started off doing a degree in Drama but soon realized my love was in writing, though there is a play lurking somewhere on my computer. My day job is as a nurse in the operating room which helps with research for my gory scenes. I believe romance can be fun to read and write but it’s exciting to spice it up with the uncertainty that comes with the worlds of mythical creatures where the rules can be broken.
